Mars, Lowell, face monolith and bigfoot, primate photo

Mars continues to fascinate earthlings as we look for signs of past or present life. Even the prominent scientist and astronomer, Percival Lowell, believed that Mars had canals and other features that were evidence of intelligent life. Up until a few years ago, the famous face on Mars was believed to be a legacy of life on Mars. Now we have the famous humanoid looking object in the photo taken by the Mars rover. I must admit, the more I look at it, the more interesting it appears. However, we only have to look around Earth for many natural features that are given everyday names. When you have an object the size of Earth and Mars and millions of years of erosion by wind or water, the odds will kick in to produce some interesting shapes.
